Payne, are looking for an SEO Intern who will learn the fundamentals of online marketing via search engine optimization, social media, paid search and online reputation management. You’ll utilize popular industry tools to assess a website’s search engine visibility and overall marketability. You’ll learn and implement tactics used in social media to grow audience and build link structure to a website. You’ll learn advanced techniques in online reputation management to help share the appropriate message about a person, company or brand. You’ll learn the ins-n-outs of Google’s Adwords paid search platform and the strategies needed to profitability drive conversions to a website via paid online advertising. By incorporating industry best practices, you will collaborate with clients and Brent D. Payne to formulate an effective SEO, social media, paid search or online reputation management strategy. Not only that, but you’ll learn research techniques in SEO, social media, paid search and online reputation management that will help achieve business goals. This knowledge will carry with you beyond the internship program and make you more prepared to be successful with your next online role at another company or when you possibly start your own online venture. Beyond the knowledge though, you will grow a contact base of industry experts that you can cultivate and utilize for a lifetime.

BaldSEO is the new consulting firm of Brent D. Payne. BaldSEO specializes in social media, online reputation management, paid search and particularly search engine optimization (SEO) for businesses and individuals alike. BaldSEO also teaches courses/seminars for the public, higher education institutions and for private organizations.
Responsibilities:
Our SEO Intern will be responsible to:
Perform online keyword research based on business needs
Identify opportunities to attract backlinks to business Websites (aka “link building”)
Write Website meta data based on keyword research
Create quality content by way of blog posts, social media messages and advertising copy
Provide detailed weekly reporting on SEO, social media, paid search and online reputation management activities
Analyze site structure and code base to identify areas for online marketing improvement
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will meet the following qualifications:
Currently a junior or senior pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or other media-related degree
Beginning knowledge of HTML/CSS
Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel formulas required)
Solid writing skills, and an appreciation for the nuance of language
Be available for 10 – 20 hours per week for the next 3-6 months
